Rebirth

Its been 429 days since i graduated from Xenia Christian high school. Its been 368 days since i last posted about my lame summer life. i had written xanga off for good, in the wake of myspace and ultimately facebook. I realized however, that i missed the writting  aspect of xanga. I missed being able to look back on a section of my life and seeing my thoughts in print. Alas, this is a rebirth of xanga-ing.

Quick recap

- Attended Clark State online fall of 2006: most challenging quarter at clark high. The pressure to log in and do my work proved bearable, and the freedom was exhilarating. I spent wednesday mornings at Youngs with John and Micah, after which we would either play racket-ball dodgeball or xbox at my house. I subsequently spent the month of december making Young's Monopoly, which was then unveiled at the Young's Christmas party to everyone's delight and pleasure. Thanksgiving and Christmas are a blur now, as this year's will be next year at this time

- Attended Clark State in person winter of 2007: Mrs. Banks, my english 112 and effective speaking prof practically worshipped the ground i walked on. needless to say these classes again presented little academic challenge. Young's Monopoly resurfaced as my final project for art appreciation, and was received with rave reviews by my Young's loving prof Dr. Henry. History 2 sucked- Roberts hated me. I passed rather close to having a girlfriend at clark state, a frustrating situation as i dont know what went wrong (SHOCKER) but whatever. Also in this time, i was promoted to leader at youngs which basically means doing the work of a manager with the title and benefits of a not-manager. sweetness. Pay is very good at this point.

- Attended Clark State in person again in spring 2007: easiest quarter by far, only 4 classes. Chadha (psych 110 and India) loved me much like banks did, so agian, two classes were cake. Issues at work began arising in relation to training and such...yadda yadda unhappiness whatever. Brian Michele and I formed the super friends here, and john quite and got a real job at enterprise (yay)

-Summer 07 was spent mostly working. July 20-27 was the clark coutny fair, a booth of which i was in charge. I spent 120 hours slinging ice cream in that tent in 8 days (straight). The past week was spent at sacandoga, where we basically lived on the lake, skiing and tubing. John is now a certified skiier, and i want a wakeboard. Today uncle D spoke at church in did rather well for soemone with 3/8 my dna. We'll see what happens there.

Altogether, God has been good to me this past year. Good health (besides an ulcerating spider bite) and good times abound. I will try to no write more fun, specific posts on a semi daily basis, but bare in mind, these posts are primarily for my use later, not so much your reading now, although you are still welcome to do so.

ANDYS AMAZING VACATION '06

[So my fam and i went to the Great Sacandoga Lake in NY for a week (this is my favorite can of root beer, there just happened to be a 29 mile lake behind it)]

First off, my grandma came to live with us from Florida. We now have a family of 5 and its pretty sweet

...and i kept working at Young's

Then came my brother's 21st birthday...which he spent not drinking (good boy)

Coondogg, Lauren, Julie and i pretty much ruled the evening . I swear those pants are made of sandpaper though....

So this open house was slated to be a cowboy theme, hence the bandanna you see on emily. needless to say, white people today dont feel a strong tie to their roots, as shown in the lacklustre dressing up. The open house was however, the most lucrative, non-effort related gig ever, in that i made tons of $ with little to no work.
